About the role and team

We have a new opportunity for a Knowledge Lawyer to join our firm’s Knowledge team.

Reporting to the Senior Knowledge Lawyer (Dispute Resolution) and Head of Knowledge, you will work in our highly regarded Knowledge team to provide professional support to all lawyers and partners within the firm’s national Commercial practice, which includes the Dispute Resolution, Corporate & Commercial, Employment, Private Clients, Tax, and Property practice groups.

The Knowledge team ensures the firm’s expertise is captured, current, and easily accessible - enabling lawyers to deliver faster, consistent, and high quality legal work in accordance with our Smarter Law approach.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing support in the following areas:

  • effective writing and firm style compliance;
  • precedent/guidance development and advice;
  • process and efficiency projects;
  • document/workflow development for automation with the firm’s broader Client Solutions team;
  • furthering the firm’s established AI capability;
  • curation and sharing of key reference material;
  • co-ordination/facilitation of meetings - legal skills training and project work;
  • current awareness - working with the Library team; and
  • proofreading, communications, preparation/delivery of training. 

About you

You will ideally have the following skills and experience:

  • at least two years’ post admission experience;
  • dispute resolution/litigation experience and document drafting/review experience;
  • excellent attention to detail;
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • the ability to prioritise and follow up tasks autonomously;
  • the ability to work cross functionally;
  • a keen interest in knowledge sharing and risk management; and
  • an interest in, or experience in, document automation and Microsoft applications.
