About the role and team
We have an exciting opportunity for an Office Manager to join our Operations team in our growing Adelaide office. Supporting an office of more than 30 people, you will play a key role in delivering seamless office operations across front of house, catering, facilities, and service hub functions.
In this role, you will provide prompt, efficient, and reliable support to the firm, helping to create a positive experience for both clients and employees. You will also identify opportunities to enhance processes and drive continuous improvement.
You will be responsible for but not limited to:
- leading and managing the Adelaide Operations team, including work allocation, service standards, performance support;
- managing recruitment and coordinating onboarding and workplace setup for new starters, partnering with People & Culture, Technology and Facilities teams to deliver a seamless experience;
- managing front of house and meeting services, catering, room bookings, and event setup and reset, office opening and closing procedures, and the presentation of client areas, kitchens and meeting rooms;
- providing legal support such as assist with court filing, uplifting subpoenaed documents and managing e-portals for court filing as required;
- maintaining office facilities, workspaces and amenities, ensuring the office remains safe, functional and presentation-ready;
- managing relationships with suppliers, contractors and building management, monitoring service delivery and addressing operational issues as they arise;
- overseeing workplace health and safety, security, emergency preparedness and compliance requirements for the Adelaide office;
- managing office budgets, procurement activities, invoices and operational expenditure, ensuring cost-effective and sustainable purchasing practices;
- acting as the key operational contact for partners, employees and national corporate services teams, providing responsive support and resolving office-related matters; and
- other office administration and legal support tasks.
About you
You will ideally have the following skills and experience:
- similar experience ideally in a professional services environment;
- supervisory experience;
- experience in event set ups is desirable;
- a client service focus;
- excellent organisational, planning skills and problem solving skills;
- strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills;
- strong attention to detail;
- proactiveness; and
- working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
